We Butter the Bread with Butter - немецкая группа из Люббена, играющая Deathcore с 8-bitными / электронными семплами. Изначально команда состояла из двух участников: Tobias Schultka - вокал и Marcel Neumann - гитара. Таким составом группа записала свой дебютный альбом "Das Monster aus dem Schrank".

Группа была основана в 2007 Marcel Neumann и Tobias Schultka. We Butter the Bread with Butter изначально планировался как шутка, но впоследствии стал более серьёзным музыкальным дуэтом. Многие из их песен - это каверы на немецкие детские стишки. В Infiziert-tour 2008 они выступали на одной сцене с немецкой metalcore-группой Callejon и post-hardcore-группой Parachutes и, кроме того, с культовой A Day to Remember, в главных городах Германии: Берлин, Франкфурт, Гамбург, Кельн и Штутгарт...

После этого оба участника приступили к записи нового альбома "Der Tag an dem die Welt unterging", который был выпущен 14 мая 2010 в Германии, США и Японии. Во время создания данного диска к группе присоединились три новых участника: Kenneth Iain Duncan, ставший вторым гитаристом, Maximiliano Pauly Saux, играющий на басу, и Can Özgünsür, ставший первым барабанщиком группы.

Вокалист Tobias Schultka ушёл из группы в июне 2010. Причина до сей поры так и неизвестна. С тех пор Schultka заменен на Paul Bartsch. В первой половине 2012 года группу покинул Iain Duncan.
