Planetary Resources

Planetary Resources — компания, сформированная в ноябре 2010 года под названием Arkyd Astronautics, в 2012 году была реорганизована и переименована. По собственным утверждениям, целью компании является расширение базы естественных ресурсов Земли[1] путём разработки и ввода в действие технологий для промышленного освоения астероидов.

Хотя долгосрочной целью компании является добыча сырья на астероидах, изначально планируется развивать рынок малых космических телескопов. Развёртывание таких орбитальных телескопов позволит компании изучать близкие к Земле астероиды[2].
