Ground Beat — российский музыкальный проект, существовавший с 1996 по 2004 год.

Биография

Солистка, Валя Атаханова, петь начала ещё в школе, потом были разные группы: Ground Beat, Амударья, Нож для фрау Мюллер, Netslov, Yogik. Басист Игорь Жигунов ранее играл в группе «Мегаполис» два года, а до этого два года работал с Петром Мамоновым. Гитарист Антон Гарсия уже успел прославиться участием в группе «Шах» и в качестве композитора музыки к фильмам: «Медовый месяц», «Мужской сезон: Бархатная революция», «Вий: Возвращение», «Мужской сезон: Время гнева».

Первый альбом, Optical Wings, был записан в 1997 году целиком на английском языке, отсюда и название группы. Второй альбом, принёсший известность группе, был записан в 2001 году и называется «Чёрная Вода». Из-за ухода Валентины Атахановой в 2004 году группа прекращает деятельность.
