Ataxia — американская альтернативная супергруппа, созданная в феврале 2004 года композитором и бывшим гитаристом группы Red Hot Chili Peppers Джоном Фрушанте (John Frusciante), бас-гитаристом из Fugazi Джо Лэлли (Joe Lally) и Джошем Клингхоффером, гитаристом группы Red Hot Chili Peppers.

История

Ataxia — проект, просуществовавший две недели в феврале 2004 г. За это время был создан материал на два музыкальных альбома и дан ряд концертов в Knitting Factory в Лос-Анжелесе.

Первый альбом вышел в августе 2004 г. под названием «Automatic Writing». «Automatic Writing» — альбом с более чем 50-минутной интересной, отличающейся от устоявшихся образцов, моделированной различной электроникой музыкой. Включает 5 композиций гипнотизирующей музыки и вокала.

Ataxia провела еще несколько концертов в городах США. Публикация «Automatic Writing», как и «AW II» неоднократно переведена на другие языки, в конце 2006 г. попала в Интернет.
