Highlord — итальянская англоязычная пауэр-метал группа.

В 1996 году была создана группа Avatar, куда вошли Стефано Дроэтто, Алессандро Мушо и Фабио Савела. В ноябре 1997 года группа записала их первое демо «Avatar» с четырьмя оригинальными композициями и увертюрой.

С 1997 группа активно выступает по клубам в Италии. В 1998 на Rock Contest «Acqua Gaia Rock» они завоевали 3 место среди более чем 60 групп. В этом же году они подписывают контракт с итальянским лэйблом Underground Symphony и меняют название на «Highlord».

Их дебютный альбом «Heir Of Power» был выпущен в 1999 году.
