Флаг оклахомских шони

Шони, шаванваки, шавануки, шаванови ленавеки (все указанные слова не склоняются)^[1] — племя индейцев Северной Америки алгонкинской группы. Изначально обитали на территории нынешних штатов Огайо, Западная Вирджиния, запад Мэриленда, Кентукки и Пенсильвания. Предположительно происходят от культуры Форт-Эйншент.

Известные шони

• Текумсе, вождь шони, и его брат Тенскватава, попытавшиеся объединить восточные племена в борьбе против белых поселенцев. Потерпели поражение, в результате чего шони были выселены в Оклахому.
